athletes at the D.O Plaza Memorial Hospital as requested by the Department of Education.

Baseball coach Leo Martinez Jr., has expressed gratitude to the province for answering the needs of the players, adding that they no longer have to get money from their own pockets to pay the P50 fee for a medical certificate because this is now free.

One of the athletes who have undertaken the free medical checkup is Kent Ian Espina, 12, of Lapinigan, San Francisco, who is baseball player in elementary level.  He said this is a  big help because early on he got to know his physical condition.

The Agusanon athletes are ready to face the delegates from Agusan del Norte, Butuan City, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Siargao, Bislig City, Surigao City and Dinagat Island.----Melody E. de Vera
