SP approves P3M for Bunawan Eco Park development

AGUSAN DEL SUR - The Sangguniang Panlalawigan here approved more than P3 million fund appropriation for the development of Bunawan Eco Park on their first session this year.

          In the Eco Park lies the crocodile Lolong and that the provincial government wanted to develop it to attract more tourists who wanted to see the largest captured crocodile in the world.

 

          Vice Governor Santiago “Santi” Cane Jr., said that the amount may not be enough but at least they did something for developing the Eco Park.

         Board Member Samuel Turtor of District II passed a resolution directing the provincial treasurer to issue P3, 165,000 for the immediate road improvement along the vicinity of the 30 hectares Bunawan Eco Park.

          The more than P3 million budget funds was allocated from the Priority Development Assistance Fund of Vice-Gov Cane and the District II Sangguniang Panlalawigan members.

          Meanwhile, SP Turtor also said that Department of Public Works and Highways has own to develop the roads on going to Eco Park.

           It was learned that on January 30, the SP members invited the Municipal Planning Officer of Bunawan town to present their municipal plan to pursue the development of the Eco Park. ---Alexis Cabardo/PPIO-AgSur
