Agusan Sur to build 30 Day Care Centers

AGUSAN DEL SUR- To boost the education of the Agusanon children, a total of 30 day care centers will be put up in 30 barangays in the five municipalities and one city in the first district of the province.

A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed on April 11 to formally launched the Early Childhood Education Project Phase 2 for the purpose of building a day care centers.

Rev. Fr. Tony Salas, project director of Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation-Integrated Development Center (JPIC-IDC) cited that a P25 million funds was allocated for this program adding that a 67%  of the budget came from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of District 1 Representative Maria Valentina G. Plaza, the other 12% PDAF is from Governor Adolph Edward ‘Eddiebong’ G. Plaza, 12% from JPIC-IDC and 10% will be borne by the municipal government where the barangay project recipient belongs.

Agusan Sur gears for Naliyagan Festival 2012

AGUSAN DEL SUR - The provincial government in partnership with Provincial Tourism Council is now setting up for the big celebration of the province, the 18th Naliyagan Festival 2012. According to Liza Gilot, Provincial Tourism Officer of Agusan del Sur that it was on January this year when they conducted an assessment for the Naliyagan 2011.
